SC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

SSC CGL 2024 is the qualifying level SSC CGL Tier 2 exam. The maximum marks and weightage for each subject in Tier 2 exam are listed in the table below.

Within two hours and fifteen minutes, candidates will face three sections in Paper I of SSC CGL exam. Section I has two modules: General Intelligence and Mathematical Reasoning. Each module has thirty questions for a total of sixty questions. The maximum marks in this section is 180 marks. Each section will take one hour, plus an additional twenty minutes for candidates who qualify for authorship.

Modules on General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension are included in Section II. There are 70 questions in total, 45 in English and 25 in General Awareness, with a possible combined score of 210. The Computer Knowledge module in Section III has 20 questions with a possible score of 60. If the candidate qualifies for Scribe, each module of 15 minutes in this section can be completed in 20 minutes.



Statistics section of SSC CGL exam is included in Paper II. The exam consists of 100 questions with a possible score of 200. Candidates have two hours to finish the paper, plus an additional forty minutes if they qualify for scribe. Similarly, Paper III, which has 100 questions and 200 maximum marks, focuses on General Studies (Finance and Economics).


Paper III has a time limit of two hours, which is extended to two hours and forty minutes for candidates who qualify for Scribe.
